Would it be worth selling these

I was sent £102 worth of Rail travel vouchers earlier this year because my train was delayed. My company pay for all my train travel and have told me to keep the vouchers for myself.
I'm never going to use them as I drive everywhere. They are valid for 12 months from end of July so plenty of time left on them. What do people think, is it worth putting them on ebay and how much for??

Hiya,
Definitely a good idea for eBay you'd get at least half of their worth back if not more.
Stick 'em on with a lowish reserve and low starting bid - if they sell you get your reserve fee back

I thought you could only put a reserve price for over £50. Is this a realistic amount to expect for them?0

Be careful with tickets though. ebay have some odd little rules about their sale. Also, make sure that you quote for only special delivery mail as you won't be covered against loss in the post otherwise.

Of course take care as Soolin recommends, i'm not sure of all the rules -
If the vouchers are the kind that you can use all together same as if they were cash then I am sure that someone would pay at least half their value as surely it would mean heavily discounted rail travel. What are the Ts and Cs of the vouchers?Don't sweat the small stuff ................It's all small stuff!0 -
I just did an ebay search (and it worked which is probably a first!)
Train tickets appear to be prohibited under the terms and conditions here:
http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/eurostar-tickets.html
which statesThe sale of all UK train tickets (including Eurostar tickets) by unauthorised persons is not permitted under the railway byelaws, made under Section 129 of the Railways Act 1993. Therefore, unless you are an authorised seller as described below, you may not list train tickets on eBay.

Thing is they're not really train tickets, their vouchers and can be used as cash. There are very few T&C, eg not valid if altered, defaced or mutilated and not exchangable for cash, which I'm assuming means they won't gave cash in replacement of them.
I may just try it and see what happens.0 -
I guess the worst that can happen is that eBay take them off and refund your fee

I think it's worth a shot, they shouldn't count as tickets, because they're vouchers. My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
