I need to change the name of a character in a story I have written on a word document.
Is there a way of doing so once, without manually going through the whole thing?
Have tried searching help and online without success.
Many thanks in advance.

And also the old story about someone who was writing a newspaper article about the military, and wanted to change the rank of some officer from Major to Captain via Search and Replace. Unfortunately, the Law of Unintended Consequences meant that later in the article he referred to "the Prime Minister, John Captain"... :rotfl:as above but be aware if their name is changing from Ian to Fred sometimes it changes all Ians e.g. Brilliant becomes Brilfredt0 -
Not as good as the American Family Association, who decided Gay is a bad word to use, and hence changed an article on sprinter Tyson Gay..
Tyson Homosexual was a blur in blue, sprinting 100 meters faster than anyone ever has.
His time of 9.68 seconds at the U.S. Olympic trials Sunday doesn't count as a world record, because it was run with the help of a too-strong tailwind. Here's what does matter: Homosexual qualified for his first Summer Games team and served notice he's certainly someone to watch in Beijing.
"It means a lot to me," the 25-year-old Homosexual said. "I'm glad my body could do it, because now I know I have it in me."0
