Play.com and Inadequate Packaging

Morning!
I just need to vent my frustration at Play.com for their shoddy packaging of expensive items, and I wanted to warn anyone else who is ordering this item for Christmas.
I ordered the "Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood Limited Codex Edition" from play.com (they are the only shop selling it) - its more expensive than a normal game because of the extras but its for a Christmas present. Anyway, the game and the extras are packaged in a large plastic box, inside a branded Assassin's Creed cardboard box - Play.com decided to post this in just a plastic mail bag, with a single sheet of bubble wrap which wasn't even wrapped around it! Needless to say the outer cardboard box is bashed and torn, although the inner contents are fine.
I just think this is really poor considering the amount of money I spent and that this is a Christmas gift - I know the inner contents are fine but when my OH opens this for Christmas I'd like it to be in brand new condition
I've emailed play.com and said I'd like a replacement but only if they can guarentee better packaging on the new one. Will see what they say. It's certainly put me off buying anything from play.com again - just hope that next time Game have the limited edition version as I've never had a problem with them.
