I'm looking to download Norton 2011 Internet Security, and found it much cheaper on this site than anywhere else (so far). Has anyone had any dealings with this company, and are they legit?
http://itekuk.co.uk/Symantec/Digital-Delievery/Norton-Internet-Security-2011-for-3-Pc-39-s-Digital-Download/prod_53.html
I do have to download as am currently abroad, and my current subscription to another security suite runs out in a few days.
Thanks in advance.

Why pay for this, there are plenty of FREE good alternatives.
Anti virus....AVIRA or AVAST.
or Microsoft security essentials ...quote from their site....is a new, free consumer anti-malware solution for your computer. It helps protect against viruses, spyware, and other malicious software. It's available as a no-cost download for Windows XP SP2 and higher, Windows Vista, and Windows 7.
Not used this personally, but there are some good reports on it.
Norton is rather bloated.
Ensure you uninstall your old security before installing new.
Free Firewall alternative to Windows one
ZoneAlarm, or Comodo (can be a bit technical)0 -
Thanks Aerostar, appreciate what you are saying, but I still want to give it a go. Have now found the product cheaper on Amazon as one of the Black Friday deals, but it's not a download.
For future reference, if anyone has had any dealings with the company in my first post, would appreciate any feedback.0 -
I purchased Norton Anti Virus from this company and it took nearly two days to receive the activation code. I was left unprotected during this wait and I was also worrying that the company was not legit. I think this is unreasonable for a digital download!!0

I contacted I Tek to point out that their website stated activation code would be within 2 hours (24 max) and was accused of being 'rude' no apology, no return customer! Won't use them again0

I have just used these and after reading their contact page stating that their hours are 10am-4pm Mon-Fri I was surprised after placing the order using PayPal last night at about 7pm to receive an email with the activation code this morning at exactly 08:03! I think that this is a brilliant company for the price we are paying and I hope that they do well in the future to be able to continue to offer us these savings.
The product I bought is Bitdefender Total Security and the other one I would recommend would be Kaspersky but I would advise against just relying on the MS freebies as they still have a lot of flaws when looking at all the aspects of PC security. As for Norton, I can not say too much as I have never used or reviewed it, I have seen many people not happy with it and I don't think I have ever seen it in the top 2 of the 10 best security packages in any year recently; that said though, many people do use it and it must be good for them as, like you, they go back to using it each year.
Hope this helps people who have stumbled across Itek UK (ITEKUK) and have thought twice before departing with their money. (To give people an idea of the savings offered, the item I got would be £47.99 for one year use from the manufacturer's site AFTER discount or if I went for three years use in one go it would have worked out as £33.99 a year - with one year use through ITEK, I paid £21.99 total)
Please think about using ITEK UK and looking for and recommending others as if we don't support these little businesses we will all have to pay huge sums of cash to the big monopolies for no reason what-so-ever.0 -
Whether it's legit or not, it's £5 cheaper on Scan (could be even cheaper elsewhere, but haven't checked)0

I used this company and received the code quickly but it only renewed my subscription for 180 days. I emailed itekuk and they immediately send me another code which added a further 365 days. I have no complaints and will use them again.0

I think i'll stick with AVG thanks.... to new for me0
