How long can I keep ... HM sweets and chocolates?

Options
I have been testing out some recipes for a christmas fayre on Dec 6th.

I have made some squares of coconut ice. some I have left plain and some are covered in chocolate. Will this batch last until the fayre if I wrap them in cellophane? Or will I have to make a fresh batch nearer the time?

'Fraid I have no idea - the answer's only a very short time in our house - I love coconut ice!
    Resolution:
    Think twice before spending anything!
  • 375g Desiccated coconut
    1 can (397g Condensed Cream)
750g Icing Sugar (plus extra for dusting)
    2 tablespooons lemon juice
    3-4 drops vanilla essence

    Chocolate to coat if desired.

Put sifted icing sugar in large bowl.
Add condensed milk and mix with wooden spoon.

Add coconut, vanilla and lemon juice and mix to form firm paste.

Spread evenly over dusted baking tray, cover allow to set.

    Cut into bars or squares.

If covering in chocolate. Melt chocolate and dip in the squares.

What a great idea! I'm doing fancy mugs with sachets of hot chocolate mix and marshmallows for my dd and 2d-i-laws as a little treat for themselves. I've also found a pattern for knitted mug cosies - so will include these as well.

The chocolate covered spoons will finish them off lovely - many thanks for that idea :D.

Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
