I was lucky enough to get KitchenAid yesterday and had dilema of kitchenaid v kenwood, went for kitchen aid in end despite wattage difference- i felt i was only using it for home baking.

I did look at bowl with handle- u think it will fit the classic?

I've been told that the wattage doesn't make much difference as long as you don't go full pelt on heavy goods (dough etc. & why would you use full speed with dough anyway?!)

As for the bowls, not 100% but I think it should be fine. The body dimensions of both models are the same so I'd presume it would. I'm getting one anyway! :o

EDIT: There ARE different bowls for different models but you can get larger sized bowl for classic. Make sure you check model number!
    - bowl this bowl #K5ASBP, & #K455BWH is for 5 quart "Classic" mixers and fits models K5, KSM5, K5SS, and KP50PS
    - bowl #KN25PBH fits models that start with KG
    - bowl #KN25NSF fits models that start with KM
    - bowl #KN15PBEH only fits the discontinued "Accolade" mixers that start with KN15E1X.

Only this is available on amazon atm: CLICKY

    Tomorrow's now showing :)
And if I really were an angel, I'd float over your bed
Each night a different dream of me I'd plant inside your head
And if I were an angel, I tell you what I'd do
I'd appear in a vision and I'd give my wings to you
