Be careful not to just poision them as if they die in your house you'll end up with a dreadful stench, it is a hideous gas like smell.QUOTE]
Thanks Dusty, I've been using B%Q Mouse & Rat killer pellets.
I hope to get rid of them soon as my dining table - which I had just cleared! - is now covered with pans etc!0 -

I'm in but I'm in a CBA grump. Glad its the bathrooms today. Will try to get through it. Some-one throw a stick!
Dusty and Boddy, my thoughts are with you and the families today. x0 -
Well that's all but bags packed and salt picked up which is on the way, done. Also been to bakery, chemists and petrol station. Bathroom needs more reorganising and decluttering when I get in, sprayed the bath and sink with my favourite method cleaning stuff which I will also wash off when I get back.
Off to put bags in car then to training day, have a nice day if you can xxOne day I might be more organised...........

Hey MissHiggerty do you put your pudds in a tray of water in oven? what temperature do you put it on and for how long if you dont mind me asking:D
Hi Sammiell - I have an Aga oven (lovely in Winter, but  the bills!) so I put the puddings (1 large, 1 medium and 1 small, stacked in two layers) in my deepest stock pot with 2-3" of water in the bottom. Then I bring it to the boil with the lid on, make sure it gets really hot (about 10 mins bubbling) and transfer overnight into the low oven: it cooks for about 10-12 hours and goes really dark.:) Low oven is very cool: around 300F max.
But I used to use a slow cooker before I moved to this house, and cooked the pudding for 10-12 hours in that, so it's possibly a cheaper option than heating the oven specially. It was brilliant. I think you need to keep it on the high setting, though, or it isn't hot enough.
HTH?
