  • Hello
Firstly - Boddy - thinking of you and you family - love and hugs for tomorrow

Can I sneak back in please - I just can't bear "Natty " hinting about all the oldies leaving anymore [on Facebook]!! Not sure if I can be called an oldie or not but she has made me feel guilty:eek:

We have been spending alot of time moving stuff around in the house to try and sort it out - small house and alot of stuff don't mix - we've done it now so its clean up time.

I've also spent 5 hours ironing today so its just a matter of putting it away now - hate that part
We have a Dining Room that we can eat in and all the kiddies carp has been thrown or charity shopped or freecycled ready for Father Christmas to bring more, we also have a Garage that we can at least enter - bit more work to be done but we'll get there.

Off to check out the list for tomorrow

See you when I've done it :rotfl:

Hope all goes well for Boddy tomorrow, and hugs to anyone that needs them!

I'll persevere and have another attempt this week - although my mum has decided (at the tender age of 80!) that she would like to move to Bournemouth, near to my sister and her family - so that is taking up a fair amount of our time just now. Tomorrow night we are going to her flat to 'declutter' - just means taking some boxes and bits out of her way for the estate agent to take pretty pics of her flat! At least she is going to a nice retirement flat - she's not actually seen 'the one' yet, but there are so many in that general area she is spoiled for choice. 140 miles away from me but most of the family are there now - including 4 great grandchildren - so it will be lovely for her to move there while she can still enjoy it.

    Hello all.

I'm in. Sorry I've not posted at all all week. TBH, I only did Mon last week. Was so busy as was daughters birthday, which went on all week.

Boddy, take care. We are all thinking of you.

(((hugs))) to everyone else who needs one.

  • Hello, been lurking for far too long and would like to join in again!

The house is generally tidy but the clutter is starting to sneak in now and I want it shifted before Christmas.

Sorry I have not really been following the thread for a while so hugs to all that need them.

Boddy will be thinking of you tomorrow, hope all goes well.

Boinks in :D I'm in again please :D thanks piggers and toots

Study - laptop stays near sofa and DP is supposed to keep his desk area tidy next to his side of the bed which I don't use so shall nag him tomorrow & leave him with a bin bag when I got out as I can see a line of cola cans along the radiator. I do need to do some filing (cabinet is built into phone unit) but will be an evening job if any I think

Bathroom - I must be psychic as when I was in the shower I checked through for empties (found 8) binned those but you can hardly move in there for bags of toiletries abandoned since emptying caravan/holidays and clothes/towels. Grotty too. So I WILL make a start in the morning in there. Finish it off when I get home from my training day (looking forward to them like a hole in the head!) Downstairs toilet you can't actually walk in at the mo as it's full of shoes, coats, bags etc so that'll probably be an evening job if I get round to it. It's clean under there you just can't get in.

DP actually did say 'you've been busy' when he came in which makes a change. DS2 being slightly more houseproud made sure all was cleared away after dinner and the sofas/floor stayed clear :) pleased! I've made a decision to measure up and see where we can fit a dining table as I am sick of eating in front of the TV and the thought of that on Christmas day makes me upset. DS2 has promised to help organise DS1 in the morning :) this is one reason we put them together as DS2 is more organised - DS1 flaps!

Ok tomorrow before I go I WILL (even if it makes me late!)

Light a candle for boddy and family xx agree with piggers xx
[Strike]Phone school to explain stress balls !!!!!! stupid IT teacher & add it's not good for PHSCE teacher to tell DS1 (in yr 7) fail any tests and you can't do your GCSEs grrr
Finish friends divorce settlement proposal :( not a nice job
Make DP a cooked breakfast - promised as he's on diabetes test fast *rolls eyes*
    Empty DW and refill
2 washer loads then in drier
    Empty rubbish from bathroom
Clear any laundry and towels from bathroom - even if it just gets bagged for now
Put toiletries that are in bags away
Get samosas and bhajis out to go with curry for tea
Nag DP to do his homework, put clothes away and clear/clean desk
Check DW salt supply as couldn't get it last winter when snow came
Ask DP nicely (first ask) to find my towing straps and a shovel
Fill in some forms for tax folk and post along with a return item
Quick look for dunelm credit note as someone said they do blinds and I need 2[/Strike]can't find it :(
Scowel at piggers for suggesting getting rid of my raggy, hard, rough favourite towel

Pack plates and bags/film tomorrow as there is always piles of buffet food left when we do these things!

Not forgetting go to B&Q which is near training (that starts at 11am) for grit as we are forecast snow from Wednesday!!!!
One day I might be more organised...........

    Boddy, thinking of you hun.

Hi all, well done a bit of impromptu flying because I thought my cooker had caught fire....luckily it was spillage which stank the kitchen out and smoked us nearly out the house, so cue a cooker cleaning sesh.:o

Seemed to have fixed the problem.

This is a message to old flyladies who haven't posted in a while, please come back and pop your head round the door, it would be lovely to hear from you. x

Nicky, you're marching on a storm hun, very impressed with your redecorating prowess.
