Hi TOFT,
Look like your doing really well, just been looking through your diary and wondered if you use coupons when doing your £90 a month shops. I find that they work fantastically. I did a weekly shop earlier down from £34 to £12.30 was amazed and so happy. I am determind to get my debt with Provident gone. Horrible !!!!!!s they are and interest is shocking.
Never seen diaries on here before, so was nice to see. Hope you do well in your debt challenge heres mine.
Debt Balance Min Payment My Payment
Provident £238.00 £10 p/w £15 p/w
Barclaycard £255.00 £5 p/m £60.00 p/m
Santander OD £110.00 £0 £40.00 p/m
Hoping to be debt free within the next 6 months. Time to clear all this debt, Sadly got to find deposit and firsts months rent on a new place. Makes me wanna cry!!0 -
BasicBankDeamon- thanks for popping in on me. You will get there with the debts, your over payments are fab and 6 months will soon be here. Keep at it! No not been using vouchers with the shop. Although have some tesco ones to use so I may use them this week and pay off the shopping total on the next store card!
Just readjusted signature again after checking some amounts on a couple of loans, only around £50 less owed but small steps!!01/01/11 [STRIKE]£48380.51[/STRIKE] £40685.24

A relatively good day on the spend front today, only bought essentials and treated DD to a few sweeties for halloween.
Just paid another £4.00 off the Next Store Card, so that's £31.00 on the PAD now.
Tomorrow is a good day, 1st of the month so more loan payments off out of the bank so will be able to reduce that horrible figure sitting at the bottom of my posts :j
Its been a long day so off to bed now. Will be back tomorrow.01/01/11 [STRIKE]£48380.51[/STRIKE] £40685.24

Morning all (or anyone who is stopping by
)
Well I plan a NSD today :-) and a lazy day too. Weather is horrible so we are going to have a wet play day!
Monthly loan payment gone out of the bank today so that is £236 off the debt :j
Hopefully whilst the children nap later I am going to make myself a money PAD from scrap paper, was going to go out and buy a book but thought better of it. I have been spending this week tweaking my spreadsheets so also going to continue on that. Think I can afford another payment to the Next Store Card too so will work out how much to put of that.
Its food shop tomorrow and we need a little more than last week but I am going to aim for £30 this week!! Watch this space, with careful meal planning I think its easily possible.
Also then got the usual housework and work work on the agenda. Have a few items I can ebay aswell so will try and squeeze that into today.
Hope everyone has a productive day01/01/11 [STRIKE]£48380.51[/STRIKE] £40685.24

Well its been a few days since I posted. I must try and factor it in daily.
Not much change on the debt front. Feeling a little low as money is really tight at the moment and I just long for the day where we have disposable income of £1500 a month!! Slow and steady wins the race right? Christmas is coming and its lovely but I hate how much is spent. We have drastically cut down on spends this year though aswell as the number of people we are spending on. If we offend someone on the way - tough luck!!
I am hoping to have christmas shopping finished by the end of this month! So then I can focus on debt debt debt. Im looking forward to next christmas and looking back to see a huge amount of debt cleared.
Need to get over to all the boards and inspire myself. Sorry for the relatively low feeling post. I will snap out of it soon!!01/01/11 [STRIKE]£48380.51[/STRIKE] £40685.24

Quick morning post, debt down by £155.22 due to a couple of min payment on the cc's. 15% of overall debt now gone :-) (although this figure still does not reflect the overdrafts, they are however included in the spreadsheets and will be gone by this time next year.
still have a box of items i need to get listed on ebay, just trying to find the time!
Apart from bills that I have just paid, today will be a NSD for me.
Todays goal: get some positivity back into me!!01/01/11 [STRIKE]£48380.51[/STRIKE] £40685.24

Good Evening,
Well I have found some positive energy!!
Tonight I have made an extra little excel sheet just for the cc's, showing minimum payment, actual payment and interest per month. Im hoping this will inspire me each month to snowball and stick to it.
The NEXT card is still the first on the hit list and I have just made the min payment and an overpayment of £13.73. Not massive but its a start for the month. Any more that I can shift towards it I will.
Really hoping to be under the 40k by the start of the new year!! And according to minimum payments this is definitely on the cards!!
Tomorrow I will be taking the scissors to every single card which isn't really OUR money. This currently consists of 12 cards!!! They all have available credit on them, although not much and get used to take cash out if we are struggling or want something but it stops NOW!! No more, if its not in the bank, its not being spent. We have to sort this out. It will also remove all temptation to put christmas on credit!!
Right its time to hit the sack I think. Back to it tomorrow with another busy day ahead.01/01/11 [STRIKE]£48380.51[/STRIKE] £40685.24

Well a successful day! Cards cut up!! feel very proud of myself, although vulnerable as they were always a safety net aswell.
Its amazing the weight I feel lifted off my shoulders just by doing this simple step! I can no longer add to the debt, or allow OH to add to it. There is only one way from here onwards and that's down to £0. :j
The other positive thing for today is the completion of my weekly spreadsheet up to 2015! I like to plan ahead and although other things will pop up in between its a plan to work towards.
Looking forward to the week ahead. That 40k mark is getting closer.01/01/11 [STRIKE]£48380.51[/STRIKE] £40685.24

Good Morning!!
Its a good day today I am on a roll with the housework!!
Another loan payment has gone out and reduced the debt by £129.20!! woo hoo!!
Got a peaceful afternoon planned but going to take full advantage of it and try and get some work and money stuff done.
Ive never sat down and watched martin lewis on itv so tonight at 7.30 its in my diary!! I am still waiting a ppi claim response so should be interesting.
Just whizzed back to the beginning of my diary....i started this one in 2010! slightly depressing. But we did disappear for a while and yo yo'd with the debt. Fully focused now though and 49 months til we are debt free!! Feels kind of like im talking to myself but i guess thats the same with most of the diaries.
Back later to update and extra payments made today.01/01/11 [STRIKE]£48380.51[/STRIKE] £40685.24

Well I have been re-jigging the finances. We currently operate money stuff from different accounts, this means 2 overdrafts and wages going into separate accounts blah blah blah. So I've decided today to put my wage into the same account as Hubby, and operate everything from there. Have gone through the spreadsheet for the next 12 months and altered it to reflect this.
I have also signed up to Lloyds Money Manager too. With all the bills and expenses going out from this account it should prove quite useful.
A I was on a role I also set up some 'goals' using the money manager. I set up 3 different pots. The first is a pot towards each mini debt goal the second is a pot for an emergency fund, and the third is a pot for Christmas 2013. I'm going to use the next month and a half left of 2012 to get into a pattern ready for a great debt-busting 2013.
So a good planning day today. Time to relax now and enjoy some tv before heading to bed.01/01/11 [STRIKE]£48380.51[/STRIKE] £40685.24
