Best way to package?

Options
So ive sold a bit on Ebay but generally small items. Ive got an amount of childrens toys to sell and they seem to go for a reasonable price.

None however has any packaging and are fairly large. Whats best thing to do - get boxes to put them in? Bubble wrap and then brown wrapping? Somethign else?

Would appreciate your advises as im really not sure

Comments

  • Collection only? P&P charges my out price the toys
  • No delivery - ive checked prices of similar items and am happy to go with delivery.

    Any ideas on the packaging?

Boxes are always better than just bubble wrap. Brown paper is also not a brilliant idea as it is heavy and can tear too easily in the post.

If the items are breakable, and by that I mean if having half a ton of weight put on them, or if dropping them onto a concrete floor would break them, then box them sucurely, use 'peanut' style packing and post that way. If the item is not breakable at all then a bit of bubble wrap and a plastic mailing bag (you can get these on ebay quite cheaply) will suffice.

My OH makes boxes for all my items just by using good cardboard from an existing box and cuttingit down to shape and size.

Toys ar ea highly scammed area on ebay so due to the paypal on collection scam I would always try and find a way to post them.

I am always very impressed by his box making ability. I just can't see how I start with a single sheet of good cardboard and fold it all up and it makes a box. Mine just makes a mess.

I've done some interesting things with jiffy bags in my time to fit objects that don't often fit in them, but never with cardboard.
