Haggle the AA down to size

A friend just renewed his RELAY cover and was charged £90.
Green Flag offer the same service for £56.
I asked him to phone the AA back and tell them to cancel membership.
He did.
They offered 30% reduction (-£27) = £63 for a years cover.
Not as cheap as Green Flag but still a good saving.
Am RAC member myself so have no experience of Greeen Flag or AA, but when my renewal comes up...
