getting deposit back from landlady

If she has not registered it as far as i know she is liable to have to pay you the deposit back x 3.
Sadly she can avoid paying the x3 penalty simply by lodging the deposit with a scheme before a conurt hearing. In effect, there is now no legal requirement to protect the deposit for the duration of the tenancy and no real incentive to do so.
This is the current legal situation unless the Supreme Court gets the opportunity to rule otherwise.0 -
Contact each of the 3 schemes. They will confirm in writing whether YOUR deposit is registered or not.
If not, post her the letter suggested above TOGETHER WITH copies of the letters from each scheme proving the deposit is not registered. Also attach the deposit rules from the above website.0
