My little grandson is coming up 3 and I have got him a kitchen for Christmas.
At that age they are just getting into "make believe" play so anything that uses their imagination.
Jigsaws are a really good bet for both children as are pyjamas or something pretty for the girl - Hairbands etc.
Really depends if they are creative etc????
    Do they like "Cuddlies"?
It would be nice to make some sort of Hamper for each one. Either a nice Christmas Box or perhaps a bag with their name on and fill it with different packages. They would think that was great fun. Look in the Hamper thread, you might get some ideas.

    Sorry, if I rambled a bit:rotfl:
  • For the 3 year old boy I would probably suggest something with thomas the tank engine on most little boys love thomas if you didnt want to stick to a toy you could get him thomas pj's or fireman sam or toy story I got my little boy the buzz and woody from disney store for £20 each.

For a 5 year old girl a doll or dolls pram, nice teddy, the entertainer online have usually got some really good offers on girls stuff i usually get my nieces something from there.

  • I have a nearly 5 (Feb) year old daughter and as far as she is concerned you cannot go wrong with anything Disney Princess, Helo Kitty or Barbie. You can find anything from any of these ranges in argos/supermarkets/etc and is suitable for all budgets.

Her other great love is anything crafty whether it's painting/sticking/colouring. Can recomend Magic Maize from ELC at the mo as she got that this week and loved it.

Geez. It's like women's lib never happened in here!
I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair
  • Never fear iamanalias! My 2 yr old granddaughter loves Thomas and cars!
Seriously though, there is so much out there for little ones!
Can you find out their favourite characters? That may well help your direction (especially if the little girl is a tomboy like mine!lol)
My granddaughter also loves 'drawing' and colouring, maybe the new 'aquadraw' things based around their favourite character?
    Don't suppose I've been much help!lol

Since when has a kitchen for a boy not been Pro "Women's Lib"? (top of page)
My little grandson also loves Peppa Pig, Dinasaus and Cuddlies.

Anyhow, surely giving presents to a child is about their personality and what they like to do, rather than putting ideas into their heads about what we think they should like.

Anyway, time to lighten up - it's nearly Christmas!:j

Can you please have a word with my partner as he is most miffed with the kitchen style pressies I've been buying my little boy who loves to play cafes, shops etc.

On the pressies themes I would be careful with some of the larger branded items that are often just more expensive versions of similar items with the brand stamped on it.

My kids are 3 and 6 and both love baking so perhaps make up a baking hamper?
Trying to be money neutral for christmas
