Microsoft security essentials alert - virus?!

Options
Hello everyone,

A window appeared on my laptop which says "Microsoft security essentials alert"

After googling ive discovered that this is a virus (plus I use mcafee). How on earth do I get rid of it?? It won't go away by just clicking the cross box (I've tried) and for some reason the task manager doesn't come up when I control+alt+del !!! Help!!!

I did this as it seemed the easiest and it worked! Scanned also to check for viruses all clear, fantastic!

It may be the easiest way but you may still have malware on your laptop.

Did you download Malwarebytes and run a scan?

There'll be an uninstall button... :)
Now you know mcaffee is only a placebo you'll be after a real antivirus solution. avira, avast and Microsoft security essentials are commonly recommend for free (not avg!)
