Hi
I got an unused legit Win7 upgrade from a mate. Installed it and my machine was a nightmare. Very unstable, unable to see drives in 'Computer'. Unable to see backup drive except via command prompt.
So I bit the bullet and bought the full Win7 this morning and did a full install.
All looked OK and at first glance everything's fine until I try to intall anything which results in BSD. And I'm still having difficulty seeing my back up drive (USB).
Otherwise OK. I could sit and surf all day with no problems.
I can't get CHKDSK to run either.
On my old PC I'd probably try booting from floppy / fdisk / format etc. I don't have a bootable CD though and not sure how to make one.
Any advice would be welcome.
