Lloydstsb Upgrade online

I tried to upgrade online just now and received a message stating unable to upgrade online and to ring their contact centre. Has anyone else had a problem today.
Also I was just trying to upgrade from one of my classic accounts to the silver account.

No. It just means your not worthy enough to have one of their "prized" AVA accounts....I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂0

OP, ring the call centre - they may well be able to upgrade your account for you. I was in exactly the same position and they upgraded two of my basic current accounts to Vantage over the phone.
They did also try to get me to take a credit card and change my house insurance though - so be prepared to say "No" if they try to sell you soemthing you don't want

I did as you suggested and they could not explain why this was but said I could upgrade over the phone from Silver through to their Plat account.
Also I do have three Vanatage accounts already so this may have had something to do with not be able to upgrade online.0 -

Some banks just want to speak to you to flog extra stuff, you were probably earmarked as a good customer and wanted to sell CC or Insurance etc..0 -
I've had several upgrades from Lloyds but they have always wanted to do it in the branch; my mother also wanted to upgrade to Vantage recently and couldn't do it because she's housebound with a busted knee at the moment and they would not do it over the phone!
I think it's just how they do things.0 -
As much as I am supporter of Lloydstsb bank I hate ever going into one of their branches. Even for a small query they seem to want to sale you one of their other products. However I now find the aggresive approach now puts them off.0
