I no longer bother. I just shear it off and replace the wheel cylinder as you can usually get the cylinders under a tenner a side.0

Yep. Should've worded that better...snap the brakepipe where it goes in. Brakepipes cost pennies to make, a brake cylinder is £10. If the brake pipe union is that stuck into the brake cylinder the brakepipe can't be far off needing changing anyway and likewise the brake cylinder.0
