Should I cancel credit card when 0% offer ends?

I'm sure this question has been asked before but I can't find an answer.
Can anyone tell me if I should cancel my Tesco credit card now that the year's 0% on purchases has ended. I have paid it off and now use the Virgin offer.
Can I cancel it and apply for it again at a later date as a new customer I wonder?
Many thanks

Don't think anyone has had a useable repeat.
Yes, you can cancel it and reapply again after 8 months if there's a decent offer on."A child of five could understand this. Fetch me a child of five." - Groucho Marx0 -
new to the forums but back in the day of 0% balance transfer i used many creditcards to save money
I'd cancel all creditcards as soon as their worth has expired, many card providers now charge an annual fee for non usage, and you can always re-apply for the same card and get new 0% offers at a later date (6 months upwards)
I see you have a virgin card (mbna) keep it, I've had my virgin card about 8 years and every 6-12 months they send me offers.
I only use it for offers so I guess with non usage they try to ply the debt on me.
Only last week did they send me a 0% on purchases (over £250 until nov 2011) or under £250 till august 2011
Thats a new LCD tv and some large bits of furniture purchases covered. or even xmas :0)
Just ensure you have a direct debit for the minimum payment set up, as one missed payment will backdate all interest from the purchased date.
If you clear the card everymonth get a cashback card (i've got an old MSDW => goldfish => now Barclaycard)
that pays me 1% cashback on upto £400 a month
amex are doing 1% cashback with 5% in the first 3 months0 -
Hello everyone
I have Barclay's credit card at promotional offer 0% interest on balance transfer until October 2011 obviously 3% handling fee applies and also 0% interest on purchases for 3 months. So I have made let's say 1000 pounds balance transfer and 300 pounds on purchases.
Once three months have passed and if I keep repaying the same fixed amount of 100 a month how many % of this amount goes towards balance transfer account and also purchases account. Actually I was told by Barclay bank that I have two accounts and one of them already expired and why I pay interest on it however I didn't get a plain answer how I can pay it off at once.
Could anyone advise me how I can find out how to repay that account with interest on?

How does earning tesco points when paying with tesco credit card and buy now pay in 6 months on tesco direct purchases stack up v cash back cc's? Does this make it worth holding onto a tesco cc when interest free period ends (march 2011 for me)? I don't see the benefit of virgin cc when they charge 2.89% on balance transfers and only offer 3 months 0% on purchases.0
