Something my parents told me of the other day.
They'd bought a car from Carcraft a few years back on finance. And last week they were called by some company or other advising them that they could claim back up to £3,000 because Carcraft had ballsed-up the finance package in some way.
Anyone know if this is legit?

It wouldn't surprise me given the way Carcraft mis-sell things. It sounds like those firms that invite people to claim for mis-sold payment protection insurance from loans and credit cards.0

If someone buys from carshaft on finance, they are the perfect target audience for further scammers.0

Yes, they also have the right to request the death penalty for the original salesman. The company must throw in a free holiday to Orlando for 4 weeks and also give your parents back all the money they spent.
I was fortunate enough to receive one of these calls the other day from a company stating they could write off ever single penny I had ever loaned in my life. What a bonus, and to think they do this as a public service without even knowing if I owe a penny.
I may go out and borrow 250k now that I know it can be written off with a phonecall0 -
Sell the car and put your parents into a home they are obviously not of sound minds.
Firstly carcraft? And secondly i presume the call did not mention car craft in the original instance
they probably volunteered that information to the caller.
It would have been a random call asking if they had any loans with PPI, If so it was probably mis-sold.
Company will charge them £99 to claim back £100, And then pass their details onto the next scam company
and make even more money.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Stay clear of these big named companies offering fancy packages as they will come back and bite you in the rear!0
