Hi,
I've been in a house for 4 months now and the gas bottle for the cooker is now empty. I have never used bottled gas before and was wonder if my presumptions are right. Can I go to my local petrol station with my empty bottle and buy a full one? I see there are various bottles kept in a cage. Is that the way this works?
Thanks,
C

Butane is not propane, and the connector might be different for different brands.0

Is that how it works though. I go exchange the bottle and pay for the newly filled bottle? The bottle we have is propane calor.0

yes, you can just go to the petrol station etc, but if it is a calor brand bottle you have to go to somewhere that has calor bottles. Check the calor gas website for the nearest location.
They can deliver as well, but it costs £50 -
Okay. I have seen Calor bottles at our local pertrol station so I'll go and pick one up. Thanks.0
