Car Predicament

Help

I've recently been offered a increase in my wages to enable me to get rid of my company vehicle and purchase my own, but i need more information on the best way to go about getting the right deal etc etc........

I've worked out that after tax with what i'm being offered i will have approximately 350-400 pounds to play with to cover the car, mot insurance & service...............

Trouble is i've not got a good credit rating (thanks to an ex-wife) and i wondered if there are any car dealers that work differently if my company are putting up the money - although it isn't a car allowance as such it's just a chunk of money to enable me to buy my own.................

Any help and advice would appreciated
