I have a couple of questions on cordless phones, sorry if they are a bit silly. My nephew was given one but its not working. I dont know the make or model, but I know he doesnt have any instructions with it.
Can he use normal batteries - not rechargable, so he can check out its not the phone. I know that they will run out quickly but at least it would show its not the phone.
If he gets rechargable batteries do they have to be a specific type for the phone?.While the phone is in its cradle Im assuming that a rechargable battery will recharge.

Yes he can test it with normal batteries.
Any rechargeables will work as long as they are the correct size.
They will recharge as long as the cradle is connected.0 -
Thanks. by correct size do you mean AA / AAA or something different. I have seen on some posts that there are different types of rechargable batteries, is that what you mean.0

They vary according to the phone, if you look at or open the battery compartment it should be marked or clear what is needed.
Make and model of phone would help.No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -

Most modern phones take AAA or AA Batteries, if it is an older type that takes special batteries, the best place for it is in the bin.0
