Ive used them in both Tesco and Asda with the £2 offer. they didnt scan in either store but the SAs input them manually. (may have been my fault though as they were originally huge so I printed them a bit smaller) hth

Hi Gunna, a quick tip, that most of the regulars will be well used to:

If the barcode starts with 99xxx then it is a standard scannable discount coupon, acceptable at most stores, and the value of the coupon is the three final digits AFTER removing the very final digit.

e.g. The whiskas cat food 50% off barcode is 9900950021937 so the discount given at the till is 193p (or £1.93)

If it has 3 zeros, e.g. the free candle from Airwick 9900218280007 then it will require a price input from the checkout operator.

If it is NOT a 99XX barcode it is generally a store-specific coupon.

Obviously, this is only a quick guide, and the SA (Sales Assistant) MAY over-ride the value by reading the Terms and Conditions of the offer, and giving the correct percentage.

e.g. as the Whiskas coupon does not specify a size for the "Adult Pouch Packs" (although does show a picture of a 12 pack) you COULD get an SA to put it through as a 50% off the larger size, although very unlikely, as the store will be redeemed at the £1.93 rate from Mars.

    Morning everyone :j

Thank you for that bit of information i actually never knew that but now i do lol :D

The supervisor read the coupon back to front and she even said they should state a size but it gave an assistant something to do by going and putting them back :D:D

Look out for emails from plenty for daily comp and after it says you can print a 50p off coupon.

Not sure if it works if you've had it before- I don't need it as I have plenty;)

  • Morning all :)

Finally got around to using my Snowbites moc yesterday - they really aren't worth any more than the price paid on BOGOF and with the moc IMO. They'll make useful additions to Xmas stockings though.
