  • Does anyone know if the 50p Ben and Jerrys Coupon can be used at tesco etc when this is on offer for £2, therefore making it £1.50. Thanks

I got my partner to scan through a 48 sachet box of Whiskas at £13.00 hoping the 50% of coupon would do just that(£6.50 would be very nice), and if not state that it doesn't actually say which size on the coupon.....anyway it gave £1.93 off which is good as they are on offer 2 for £5 for the 12 box but not good for the 48 box lol so back they went

Hi Gunna, a quick tip, that most of the regulars will be well used to:

If the barcode starts with 99xxx then it is a standard scannable discount coupon, acceptable at most stores, and the value of the coupon is the three final digits AFTER removing the very final digit.

e.g. The whiskas cat food 50% off barcode is 9900950021937 so the discount given at the till is 193p (or £1.93)

If it has 3 zeros, e.g. the free candle from Airwick 9900218280007 then it will require a price input from the checkout operator.

If it is NOT a 99XX barcode it is generally a store-specific coupon.

Obviously, this is only a quick guide, and the SA (Sales Assistant) MAY over-ride the value by reading the Terms and Conditions of the offer, and giving the correct percentage.

e.g. as the Whiskas coupon does not specify a size for the "Adult Pouch Packs" (although does show a picture of a 12 pack) you COULD get an SA to put it through as a 50% off the larger size, although very unlikely, as the store will be redeemed at the £1.93 rate from Mars.

T+C probably says "not to be used in conjunction with any other offer"
so it may get accepted, or they may read the T+C and reject it.
