sorry btb was not trying to cause probs just trying to help,we've had experience of tescos before and if there are too many people complaining tesco will just stop taking the conditional spends, so looking after my intrests aswell. my last words on the subject. :)

My experience fwiw- This weekend I have used (Or tried to!) an M&S £5 CS and both times the SA has called the supervisor because they don't scan. Both times the supervisors have said sorry we don't accept M&S and both times I have asked them to check on the system under competitor CS. Obviously it is there and both times the supervisor has said thank you to me for pointing it out!! Result = CS accepted both times...

Calmness/Politeness goes a long way to saving you (and them btw) ££££

Obviously if after pointing this out they still refuse to accept it then you don't really have a leg to stand on (At the till anyhoo) and I sympathize, so this is probably where contacting HO comes in (Although if time allows CS may refund you) - I must admit though I thought it was a 'National Policy' (Which is why its on all tills) and that there was no official managers discretion :o

    Hi,

Yesterday I went to my local Tesco Bradley after checking out via mysupermarket to choose where best do my shopping, only to find on the items I wanted where not the price on mysupermarket? For example:

Gillet Series Gel Conditioning (200ml) mysupermarket £1.35
Valid until: 25/01/2011, Tesco in store shelf price £2.75

Sacal Italia Classic Pesto (190g) mysupermarket £1.79
Vaild until: 11/01/2011, Tesco in store £1.99. Dose anyone have this issue with there Tesco?:o

Naomi - I get this a lot, does you store have a 'customer price checker' scanner? I have generally found that the SEL is wrong and it scans on the customer/checkout scanner as advertised on MyS/T.com

    For instance
    Mr.Muscle Oven Cleaner 300Ml

is showing as £2.55 on the SEL but it scans at £1.59 as shown on MyS/T.com HTH

Not always rite though - at one time I was doing my shopping list (what to buy & how much it cost using comparesupermarket link) but when I check the price checker scanner it cost more than what I wrote down - I asked the Customer service, they said online price is always cheaper than shop price and they don't always have the same price as online. She said - online price is cheaper b'cos they r trying to encourage their customer to use online services. Fair enough me said.

Today had a problem using the waitross coupon which they refused even thou we said they had accepted them before mentioned there was a button on their tills that gave the competiters cs accepted but they said that was no longer there & they had spoken to the duty manager & were unable to accept this. So have decided to contact Tesco now is it best to use address on Idlesavers post 11 and post a letter & do I have to include receipt etc if anyone who has attempted this successfully has any advice I would be very grateful I know it has been mentioned in the thread before but wld probs take a along time for me to find.

Thankyou in advance for any help
  • Just got back from doing the shopping and am quite pleased with my little haul. Wemt to S first for my free milk etc & also got some bits of very reduced stuff inc. crimbo stuff, used £3 off £30 till spit & few other mocs and got £32+ shopping for less than £16 AND got £4 till spit wys £40. Continued to T's and used 2 M & S £5, the S till psit few small mocs & T's till spits - £54 shopping for £26 which included loads of reduced goodies. Somebody had been very generous reducing packs of good sausages to 8p, muffins & pancakes to 12p & a lovely fresh cream cake for 38p. Almost as good as pre Black friday - happy days indeed.
