  • Hi all,
Sorry for jumping in on your thread, I didnt know where to post this.
OH has an eye test today, and I Have printed a coupon from Nectar for a free eye test, 2,000 points and £30 off glasses for him to use.
The coupon has my name on it though, and the nectar card is registered to me. Will he still be able to use it? It doesnt state you cant, just reads
'Only one coupon will be accepted per collector, which must be presented with your matching Nectar card'.
Thanks in advance and sorry for posting here.. xx

Can you phone and ask the opticians if it can be used if you book the appointment but for your husband - as long as he takes your Nectar Card and voucher with him?
  • Thanks, I had tried to ring them, but it was constantly engaged. Coupon wasnt accepted anyway x

Not an expert, but will tell you my experience;)In all my stores, Asda, Tesco, Morrisons and Sainsburys any coupons used on SS tills need authorising. You might be able to get away with one, but tbh I think it is more worthwhile/easier going through the proper tills
Be thankful for what you have because it could all be taken away tomorrow.;)

Depends on the type of barcode/number on the barcode. If it has to be manually input - it's probably easier and quicker going to a normal till than waiting for someone to come over and help you...but if it's one that scans - the self serve tills are usually fine (especially in Sains where I have accidently scanned Tesco vouchers...ooops). There is an earlier post (#731) on this thread explaining the barcode numbers :)

I wouldn't recommend doing the above as that is how stores stop taking coupons when they cannot claim the money back. It isn't worth loosing being able to use coupons for a few pence;)

i did something similar in tesco on self serve till ,used an out of date sainsburys coupon

must add this wasn't deliberate it was only 1 day out of date (got my dates muddled so got a surprise when i realised what happen)
