Any Hyundai owners had a letter recently?

I had a letter through the door the other day from a local main dealer Hyundai garage (not the one I've recently been having my services done at though, but the one I bought my car from) telling me that my registration number has been "selectively chosen" for some kind of treat/prize or some such and to ring the garage for further info.

Anyone else had one of these? Seems a tad odd to me....?

I have recently logged a complaint with head-office Hyundai to be fair so I do wonder if that is something to do with it - but equally wondered if everyones registration numbers had been picked for some kind of scam or something? Hence reason for checking on here before curiosity gets the better of me and I ring them! :D

    Nothing yet.

DD bought a new Hyundai i10 in March 2009. She did have a personal mailing from them some time ago, offering her the chance to upgrade to a brand new i10 for only £500 extra. We hot footed it down to the garage the same day as she received the mailing, as she had put quite a high mileage on her car. Surprise, surprise, we were too late apparently. There was a "very limited quota" and they'd all gone?! Bit weird we thought.

So any other "special mailing" from Hyundai will be viewed with a healthy dose of scepticism!

    (great little car though!)

It'll be "we can do you a fantastic deal on a brand new xxxxxxx just for you, because your old one is getting on a bit and you definitely need need need a new shiny one" :)

It was legitimate, there was such a big uptake that a lot of the cars had gone before the last of the letters went out. Also the dealers were getting stitched up by Hyundai with the price of the px's, so they weren't keen on doing it - a lot still have cars sitting around because they are too expensive.
