I ran it because I thought I had a virus but it doesn't seem to have picked anything up. Should I do anything else now?

Thanks,

Yes, UPDATE the MalwareBytes database and run the scan again.

Database version should be 5157, update Malwarebytes and run a quick scan.

Why did you think you had a virus?

Why did you think you had a virus?

Something flashed up on the screen yesterday. I tried running Avast scanner but it crashed the laptop at 95% each time I did it. I'm probably just being over cautious.

I tried updating Malwarebytes before scanning but when I tried to run it I got a message saying the files had been corrupted so ran the version I already had.

    I'll try updating again. Thanks.

  • Update definitions once again (newer ones may be available) and rerun a full scan please (others may say it's not necessary but I would). Remove anything it finds and post log here.

Then download and install: Download HijackThis 2.0.4 - FileHippo.com
Open the program and hit the top button which will create a log within seconds. Copy the log here.

Thanks, I'll have to do it tomorrow as I'm off out shortly.
