Anyone heard of this company?

http://www.laptop-repair-service.co.uk/power-socket-repairs.htm

I have the same problem that is on that page. They are charging £75 for fixing it, my local indoor market man said £90

If its not a good place, does anyone know of one cheaper, or around the same price?

I realise I could do it myself (I have already bought the part from maplin) but I don't trust myself with a soldering iron on my baby. :o

Thank you xx

Not sure, but that's £75 + vat. If you've got the part you must know someone who can wield a soldering iron? Not too helpful I know, sorry, but Manchester is miles away so I can't help!

  • Hi
If its for this Laptop DC jack power socket repairs then they charge from £75.00 + vat for this service inc parts.
The cost for them to pick up and deliver is just £18 + VAT
    And also:
If you are sending in your laptop for our free diagnosis service and after the fault has been diagnosed, you do not wish to continue with the laptop repair, you only need to pay £ 10 + VAT return postage.

I think I'd pay the market man who is local to you, it might be a lot cheaper in the end.

Yeah it probably would work out cheaper, I just prefered going with someone that doesnt operate out of a little cubicle.

My dad said he might be able to do it, not sure if we know anyone with an iron that we can rob for an hour or 10.

*runs off to see if she can find a cheapo iron*

    I miss my laptop
