  • Hi All,

In my opinion, I do think that the govement should not up root families who has lived in the property for a long time, people do spend there last penny making good the property, putting their personal touches decorate and the children are connected and usually feel safe as that is what there are use to.
When the children grow -up and parents and childen are in the postion to and pay the full rent, why should they be downsize to another property. They have to spend their cash to start again to make good the next property, this is time consuming. I do think this govement has gone to far now, its not our fault they have given out properties to people who should not be entitle to it, the country as gone down hill and this is just another excuse to show they are helping others, the govement are trying to make people ill.

If you are the lucky one and have a council or Housing association property you should be able to keep it for life, as long as your not distroying it and following tenancy agreements.
The govement needs to build new properties and sort out they own house.
    live and let live.
We can't all be rich , but we can help others along the way.

Why should tenants in council properties not be subject to the same uprooting that those in private rentals, or in fact, those in owned homes have to be put through from time to time? In order to be employed, we had to uproot our family from Canada to here - but by doing so, we have improved our life, improved our future, and are able to support our own family. Are you saying that we have somehow done wrong by our children by uprooting them, and that we should've stayed there, unemployed and unable to provide for them?

Sorry - but change happens in everybody's life - it just seems to be those who feel they are entitled to everything for nothing that have a problem with relocation. Many a working family has had to relocate - many tmes, not their choice.

The service of state housing is there for a purpose - to help those in need. When no longer in need, or able to support yourself - move on, and let the person who was in your position before your lot improved, get a start as well.
