Advice re: credit applications..

in Credit cards
Hi there - can anyone help?
I'm about to make an application for (my first..) credit card.
With a view to potentially applying for a mortgage in the next year or so, I'm very conscious about making sure all my credit applications are consistent. HOWEVER, a few months ago I got a broadband contract and, because I hadn't yet changed my address at the bank, I was advised in the shop just to put down my old address, which I did (I had left my old address in the December and the broadband contract was sorted out the following April.)
With this new credit card application, should I be accurate in my address details (i.e. say I moved in the December) or say I moved in the following April, to make sure the timings tally with the credit check? It was a rented flat.
Any advice would be gratefully received!
