Hi

I've just installed win7 over vista.
When I open my 'computer' it displays all the usual folder but doesn't seem to want to show the route drives. I've plpayed with it for 10 minutes but just can't work out what's going on. Am I missing something obvious?

edit, also I no longer have the button on the taskbar that minimises everything to show the desk top. Any ideas how to retore it?
Apparently I'm 10 years old on MSE. Happy birthday to me...etc

The "root" drives should appear below "My Computer" in the folder tree hierarchy. If they aren't there maybe they haven't been mounted properly - you can check this via the Disk Management snap-in in the Microsoft Management Console (which you can run by typing "mmc" in the run box).

The "show desktop" icon is the strange un-labelled rectangle to the right of the system tray and clock - hover over it and it will make all windows see-through allowing you to see the wallpaper behind (if anyone can think of a single use for this feature, I'd be interested to hear about it!), but if you click it everything gets minimised.
