Attn - Anyone using Fortekor

I've been up to vets to collect old cat's tablets and have been given a newer and cheaper version.
Basically Fortekor has had the monopoly up until now and there has just been a generic tablet brought out called Benazecare which is cheaper yet does the same job.
It should have cost me approx £41 for 28 fortekor, 16 vidalta 10mg, 16 vidalta 15mg.
I paid £35 for 15 benazecare tablets (you only give half a tablet per day, well I only need to for my old girl), 16 vidalta 10mg, 16 vidalta 15mg.
It's worth asking about .

My old cat used to have Fortekor. He was diagnosed with kidney problems from the age of about 10 and lived till he was 16and a half, love him.
I hope your cat has plenty more happy years!0 -
A nice saving! I buy Fortekor online using a vet prescription and I pay less than £11 a month for them! The benazecare doesnt seem to work out any cheaper for me0

BTW Benazecare has been around fro several years now but has only recently got a licence for use in cats0 -
Yes, old cat has to have one 10mg one day followed by a 15mg then next day etc etc. On only 10mg, her condition is not stable enough, on 15mg, her condition goes too far hence one of each on alternate days.
My vets know that I crush the tablets into her food and they are happy with that. She eats the food, she has the tablets without causing her more stress and upset.0
