scottish power (provider for both) have sent me 2 letters
telling me based on last years consumption what i will pay in the next year
i have in the last 4 months been careful & watching what we use
(before that i never gave it a thought:o)
the figures made me go:eek: especially for electricity
past 12 months - 5328kwh used
next 12 months cost - £702.94
this seems quite a lot to me
we have gas central heating & cooking
and a solar panel
gas used - 9597kwh used
next 12 months £375.80
that doesnt seem so bad
can anyone help me out, is this average??

Gas is well below average but probably offset by the solar panel. Electric is just above average. The cheapest SP tarriff shows £350 for gas and £575 for electric so a bit of discrepency on electric cost. Put your figures into a comparison site and see what you get, could probably reduce DD by £10 a month.0
