Sky Phones Recycle Scam

Hi everyone

Just wanted to let you know that Sky Phones are a scam. They are not related to Sky Tv in any form.
They are at skyphones org , top listing on google and pay the best price on many sites.

Not sure if this is a new issue, but we sent our phone three weeks ago, and it appears that everyone sending in the last month lost their phones.

The phone number is not working and the address is a window shop.

No response to emails or letters, the Police cannot help as its civil.

Please do not send to them, many posts about this online now.

Let me know if you have the same problem.

  • Thanks for your response Omen666, I am a bit new to this so thanks for that thread. Again thank you.

If you look at this thread please bump it up so we can remind as many people as possible.

    Thank you
  • Hi all

I too have been scammed by this company and they quoted my phone at £63.50 but no cash despite contacting trading standards and sending a special delivery letter(another £5.05 cost to me) advising that they had breached their contract and I would take legal action if I heard nothing within the next 7 days. Again no response.

I suggest that we try to get them stopped by clubbing together. I have reported my experience with them to BBC Watchdog on their online form(just google "bbc watchdog" and you'll find it). If we all do the same they are more likely to take up the case and we may get our money back.

I also intend to report their site to the advertising standards authority as they have quite a lot of authority for misleading advertisements.

If anyone else is willing to help me by doing the same or if you prefer I could give them your email too and state you've had the same problems. I'm also thinking of contacting gmtv/this morning. And how about we tell all our friends on Facebook not to lose their phones by warning them off this company?

I'd love to hear from anyone who is willing to help me to stop this company from stealing our phones!!!

I'm a mum of 2 young daughters without cash to splash and I'm sure there are many others in dire straights who have lost their phones to this dreadful company.

Please help - we've nothing to lose.

    Sandra
  • It's a wonder Sky themselves have not taken steps about it. It would most likely be construed as misrepresentation at the very least.
