Not really sure where to put this but hey ho.
Went into Mothercare in Eastbourne earlier to exchange a faulty toy (this one has a very large ELC section) when I gave her my address for the records her face fell and I was told that the address was flagged and she may have to call the police.
(Very) Luckily I had my passport on me and my husband had his Driving Lisence so we could prove we weren't who they thought we were.
We also keep getting debt letters saying this family has been recently found at my address.
The family did used to live at this address but that was about 8 years ago now. And two different sets of tenants have been here since not including us...

These issues are attached to other people previously at your address so I wouldn"t stress too much about it.
I had numerous letters at my previous address (court summons etc) addressed to a previous tenant who had lived there 4 years previous and racked up thousands of pounds worth of debt. I contacted the companies concerned, explained the situation, and the letters stopped.

The letters don't bother me too much as they're easily dealt with but the being flagged on shop tills... could have gone very badly if I hadn't had my I.D. on me! Think I'll have to carry it around with me for the forseeable future. I understand the concept of cooking and cleaning, just not how it applies to me:D0
