Gas oven not working

My gas cooker has chosen the right time to play up. It was working fine this afternoon. The whole street had a power cut and afterward the oven is not working, no display on the clock, I guess it is the electrical part that is playing up. It's fired up but then die down as there does seem to have any gas flowing freely. It is an old Parkinson Cowan cooker. I am really lost without it everything works fine on the hobs except the oven. Can anybody help, what could be wrong? I am off looking for a new one but do nat have much time as I am due to go for a long holiday in a a few days. Thanks

the clock might need to be set again. some wont work until the clock is set or put in manual mode, usually a hand symbol.0

Thanks, it is now working, the clock has reset itself overnight. I could not do it manually yesterday and went to bed upset as I had to put my defrosted roast pork back in the freezer and this is not usually recommended.0
