ok, so i am trying to buy a bed off ebay, seller is a small business but doesnt offer a delivery service,
i have found a local courier company willing to collect for me but the seller says they will only deal with me as the buyer !!
means a 180 mile round trip for me and would cost me more in fuel than the courier would charge me !!
aaarrrggghhhh just wanted to have a moan
feel better for getting that out

I do not understand sellers who seem to not want to sell. So you set up an online bed sales service and make no arrangements at all for shipping, hmm.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Have you paid by PayPal ? Maybe the seller is wary of the Paypal scam of not having an acceptable means of proving that you've had the goods. So you could then claim INR at a later date.
Can you suggest to the seller that they arrange a courier and you offer to pay him the amount your local courier was going to charge you for the job. Or his courier fee, which ever is lower.
Or can you offer to cancel Paypal if you paid that way and get your courier to take an envelope with cash to the seller in exchange for the bed ?0 -
