I changed the logon password on the kids computer the other day, i usually make a mental note of it but i have completley forgotten it.

Its XP pro, i have put the same same password on my computer but i have a fingerprint keyboard so i can still use this computer.

Anyone help on this.

Is it possible to find the password on tis computer?

Actually fixed it this way,

Restart pc, start in safe mode, log into admin mode, wait for pc to start, into control panel, user accts, remove password.

Did not ask for the password at all. worth remembering!!

There is a easy way of doing it without restarting your computer in safe mode. On the logon screen click "Ctrl" + "Alt" + "Delete" two times then enter administrator as the username and with no password. The click "Start" then "Run" enter "control userpasswords2" and click "OK" then select the user name that you cant remember the password to and for password for *** then click the button for "Reset Password.."
