External Hard Drive Back-up

I have an external hard drive which is where I want to keep a back-up copy of the files on my computer.
I'd like to back up information (just a few files normally) on a daily basis.
What is the easiest way? When I select "Synch" on the Freecom menu, it seems to do the whole lot and I'd just like the day's worth done, so to speak.
I am sure there must be a simple way, but it is eluding me at the moment.

Use the free syncback tool, and you can configure it to back up everything or specific items on differing schedules to different places. Excellent tool.
If you are a little less technical (or don't like syncback) try Microsoft's SyncToy
which is apparently equally as good.- = I also recognise the Robins and beep for them = -0 -
Use FileSync. It is excellent and very easy to use. Here:sandieb wrote:I have an external hard drive which is where I want to keep a back-up copy of the files on my computer.

"Use the free syncback tool, and you can configure it to back up everything or specific items on differing schedules to different places. Excellent tool" Thanks Omertron! I downloaded it and have been using it. It's SO much better as I can now keep track of the synchronisation/Backup - without the guesswork.
Your help much appreciated.0
