How to make a shipping crate?

As title really, I'm planning on selling a few items that due to weight and size really need a pukka shipping crate of approx 80*40*40cms
I figured some wood and screws from B&Q and I can do it myself:D
Anyone seen any plans/instructions on how to make one up?

Before you do that check out any wood recycling companies nearby. I know our local one gives away pallets for free, I'm not sure of their policy on packing crates but I'm sure they would be cheap.
At worst you can pick up some cheap wood for your DIY crate.0 -
Just make sure its not going to injure anyone.
Don't want those couriers suing you for a splinter.0 -

If you're planing on going to B&Q or your favourite local builders merchant you might ask them if they have anything that's already made up that you can have. I seem to remember when I worked for one that some tiles, slates and stones from abroad came in crates built on pallets.
Might save you having to make your own, and a courier will probably insist on heavy items such as you're shipping are already on Pallets ready for collection.0
