so what to look at
ok so it looks like i should be able to get up to £2000 for a car to be used for my commute to work ~60 miles a day just to get to and from the office (~40 miles of it motorway) + the extras when i have to go to meetings etc
had an R Reg Clio 1.2 RL which has gone kaput since then been driving my family car which is a 53 plate 1.8l Mondeo which is costing to much in petrol at roughly 37-40mpg and racking up the miles on it.
so i am after suggestions about what i should be looking at, as you can guess the mpg is my main concern (and tax a bonus) and am hoping to get something which will give me around 60mpg
currently looking around auto trader to get an idea of whats about, the ones that have stood out for the mpg are
the 1.5 dci clio
the 1.5 dci megane
the 1.4 hdi C3
the 1.7 sdi seat arosa
so just wondering am i missing any others as i know these dont seem to get the best write up hence looking for the other options as really i only want something to give good mpg and be reliable, anything else (air con etc) is a bonus
