My Boyfriend is getting housing benefit paid for atm, due to his redundancy >>

but they say it's paid on 1st of the month, but that's the day his rent actually comes out for his landlord...can he request a change or anything?

Hi,
The LA can only pay according to it's normal schedule as can't match payment dates for all claimants with the dates that everyone has their rent due.
Payments to claimant are usually made fortnightly in arrears and so he will not always get his full month's money in any case.I currently manage a Housing Benefit service and have been working in Housing / council tax benefit (as was) since 2001.
