Tesco Travel Money/£5000 Gift Prize Draw - Con

What a con!

Has anyone else seen the Tesco leaflet in store by the Check out that offers you a chance to enter into a prize draw to win a £5000 Tesco gift card?

I collected a leaflet as I need Travel money. The leaflet's T&C said the comp closed Dec 1st, 2010. The front of the leaflet said "Prize Draw closes 01 December 2010. According to the leaflet I could buy my money "3 Ways" Online, Over the phone and instore. I chose Instore. I bought my money and I asked about the Prize draw entry. The woman said it was in with the money. I got home and there was no entry. I phone the number on the leaflet and was told the promotion closed November 14th... I phoned the store where I bought the money and was told that it closed November 9th....

I phoned Tesco CS who were most unhelpful. I would not be able to speak to anyone regarding the competition as they did not answer phone calls.... The C/S rep said 'I'll try to look into but I am off for the weekend now...' Could you give it to a supervisor? This is Important.

The phone service (Which is TravelEX) who is just the money side of it said they did have several complaints... NOWHERE does it say that you had to buy it before a certain date... Tesco called me back and no one seems to know about about this competition or knows who set it up….

I know where I WON'T be shopping any more!
