Freeview HDD Box Has Sound But No Picture

I put in a new SCART lead to my Freeview HDD box last night. I pushed it in properly at both ends. When I turn on my Freeview box, all I get now is sound but no picture!

This is driving me mad. I have repeated the process a few times to make sure the connections are good.

Any idea what is wrong?

Try another scart lead or try it on another device.

The pins can get bent easily or it may be faulty.

You may be able to use a 3 phono plugs to 3 phono plugs lead as another option.

Does it switch to the correct channel on your tv, tv out setting wrong??

The box is tuned to AV1.

Did it work with your old scart lead?

Or, is the AV input set to something other than RGB or Composite, S Video possibly?

If the SCART socket on either the digibox or TV has been damaged by insertion or extraction of the SCART plugs, then changing the lead won't do any good, however;

If you have more than one SCART lead, try them all in all directions. If you still don't get picture, and sound is coming through OK, I'd suggest the above scenario applies, and you'll have to either dismantle the TV or digibox to repair it.

If either the TV or digibox have more than one SCART, try alternative sockets. If you have more than one digibox, try all of them.

Seconded...... investigate menu options on TV in case this has been accidentally switched.
