Is there a good alternative? At the moment a few of us in another group (totally unconnected to MSE) are using mIRC but a few of us are having problems logging on and i for one aint finding it as easy to navigate. Has anyone got any suggestions as where else we can try.

Userplane is fully featured and they've recently been bought by AOL

This is a room I set up ages ago just to test out what it would be like (when some people were suggesting MSE should have one)

but I've never really found a great chat room system

this seems like a cool place but I think it is more for the young and looks like it would take alot of time getting good avatars. think my 9YO daughter would love it though but she is a bit young to be on websites alone.:cool:
