  • i still think a bit of determination and practise with a normal mouse can help my mum struggled when she first used one i remember you used to say
"double click left mouse button" and she would have to look at the button while clicking it and then be suprised that something happened on the screen haha!

definatley get to the library to try it out but i think it will be harder i like it on my desk at work as its covered in drawings and paper so i have no room to move a mouse

I also think a trackball might be more difficult for her to use. Maybe a big chunky mouse with the pointer speed slowed down, pointer trails and single click opening would be more usable? Of course it will drive you crazy when you try to do anything - you'll have to get your Mum to do it for you!

    Yes, maybe.
I did already slow down the pointer speed and double click speed but I'll try the single click thing.
Yeah, i have to get her to do stuff anyway as the machine is so old (Windows 98, doubtless got a tiny memory and slow processor) that it struggles on modern websites with lots of images, and drives me mad. But as mum is slower in working out what to do, she doesn't have to constantly wait for the computer to catch up!
