Audigy is another free tool to 'grab' streamed audio.
Ensure you have the permission of the rights holder before doing so though!0 -

isnt that a creative labs soundcard?0 -
It is the name of a Creative soundcard, but there is also free software (possibly from Creative, I'll give you that) of the same name. I've used it for a while, but I don't have any creative hardware.0

Are you sure you don't mean Audacity? I've never heard of Audigy other than in the context of Creatuve sound cards."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Apologies.... I was in work earlier, and just got home to find that it is Audacity.
That said, it seems the Audigy software is available for download as freeware anyway. Not entirely sure if does a stream grab though. Tucows has more info.0 -
I use a programm called Hidownload.
Available from http://www.streamingstar.com/
I've been using this to actually download from BBC7 over the last year.
Only problem is it only will download files ending with the real extensions eg .rm ,ram etc
It will not download some of the other files that the BBC use on their other radio stations to stream because of a different file entension structure. But these are the more current shows.
Most of the local bbc local stations still use the older extension types and will download with this program.
Hope this helps. The more I live, the more I learn.
