Eurodisney, tips needed please

I would like to take my 3 yr old daughter to Eurodisney for 2 nights next year (Jan or Feb preferably). There is just the 2 of us so I would like to keep costs down. Can anyone recommend the best place to book it please?

Also, I have heard that it can be quite expensive whilst there so can anyone give any tips on how to do it cheaply without losing any of the fun?

Thanks

Sarah

  • Hello, I have check the thread link you have posted here. It has really the good solutions of the above question.

    Merry christmas!
  • hey, I'm new to posting but I booked my first trip the eurodisney with a company called Hi Holidays. I saw a couple of posts on here about them and I have only been back from my trip and few weeks and it all went well. I got a great deal on their site, I had a play around with a few searches but if you can go mid week as it is cheaper. I stayed at the Explorer Hotel which is just outside of Eurodisney but it is loads cheaper and they have a free shuttle bus to take you in so it is really easy. The hotel is great for kids too as it has pools and all that for them, so what I did to save some money was only bought a day pass in to the Eurodisney and on the 2nd day we just stayed in the hotel and made the most of the facilities there.

Have a fab time and definitely check out Hi Holidays
  • I would say the cheapest way to enjoy Eurodisney is to try and book as much as you can online before you go. Park tickets etc are often a lot more affordable booked in advance and as early as you can. Also taking your own lunch and things like that always help to lower cost. I took my daughter last year in March and still couldn't really avoid being ripped off by it. But for Disney I'm willing to let it go :) A colleague at work recommended a few companies to me for accommodation though and it did turn out to be 100€ or so cheaper than booking places to stay in the park. We stayed in a holiday home for the week and although not as exciting as being in a disney hotel it was a lot more affordable. Plus I think the hotels can be a bit of a waste of time as you are out all day enjoying the rides etc so don't really spend that much time in your room. The only thing is getting yourself to the park every day if staying in private accommodation but I still think it would work out cheaper in the long run. We've used that company a few times to book accommodation in various locations in France before so it may be worth having a look around and seeing what deals you can find.
Good Luck with the search! Hope you and your daughter have a lovely time!

    avoid the shops! lol
dressing up costumes and the like are sooooo expensive!

buy from the Uk before you go and give it to her when you are out there ;)

bring lots of snacks and drinks,as prices onsite are high
Buzz Lightyear Pizza Planet ( all you can eat buffet) is
good for cheapish lunch /, early dinner, lovely theming for kids and food not bad ( choice of 3 pizzas,3 pasta, salads, bread, desserts and drinks)

we don't book a package, but most people who do recommend booking direct with Disney

How are you going to travel?

We do all our Disney breaks "on a budget" and stay offsite, then travel via Eurotunnel using tesco clubcard deals

staying onsite isn't important to us,we would rather stay somewhere cheaper and then spend the money saved on some nice meals whilst there etc

It's just a place to shower and sleep for us

Might be easier to stay onsite with a 3 yr old though, esp in jan / feb as it will be cold, and you can take a break go back to the hotel to warm up / take a nap etc!

watch out for items being taken from your locked hotel room - my girlfriend had her underwear stolen out of the draw while we were at the attraction. Room still locked when we returned, staff unwilling to help either
Don't try to teach a pig to sing - it wastes your time and annoys the pig

Food & drink is quite expensive,it was,iirc,11ish euro's for what would be over here a small McD's burger meal.I found some of the cafe's cheaper than the McD's.
A small bottle of pop is around 2euros.
Make sure you pack a coat with you as it rained when we were there heavily, you can buy plastic capes from the stalls for 8euro's as well.
For the ride's,a lot of them have a free advance booking thing where you get your ride pass a hour or so before from the ride & then go back at a certain time for the booked ride.
Alcahol can only be bought with a meal.
You could easily spend around 70euros without realising it.

McDonalds prices were similar to prices at home, I have just checked my credit card statement and 4X BigMac meals, burger, chips and a drink, was 20 Euros/5Ep.p., OK this was back in August but cant imagine the prices have more than doubled since then. Bottles of drink were 2.5Es in the park but you could get 2 for 4Es at the shop in the station

Are McD's that expensive over here in the UK?....I never eat them so wouldn't know.
