EDF Online Saver 7 Not Available for Gas Only?
Options
I'm on British Gas Websaver 7 (gas only, not electricity) and following the recent 7% price increase announcement I was looking tonight at switching to EDF Online Saver V7. I was led to believe that this tariff was not just dual fuel, and that single fuel buyers would still get a credit of £75 after 6 months, rather than the dual fuel £100?
However, after going onto the EDF site, it appears that it is only available as a dual fuel account or an electricity only account, not as a gas only account. I can't switch my electrIcity, because I have some solar PV capacity and get a very beneficial payback from my current supplier.
So it seems that EDF is a dead end for me. Can anyone else confirm I am correct in my understanding?

Many tariffs are balanced between the fuels like that. The good news is that electricity-only households can often exploit this (as such restrictions do not usually apply to them) but often you are not permitted to choose to not sign up both fuels when available. I suppose households with electric heating do deserve a break sometimes.0
